Ephesians: Walk in Love
“The Peace that Kills the Hostility"
In Ephesians 2:14-16, Paul explains what Christ has done to break down the “dividing wall of hostility” between the Jews and the Gentiles. How did Jesus accomplish this work?
The answer to this question and what it means for those who are in Christ transforms the way we are to understand who we are in Him. The truth goes further to reveal how we are related and are to relate to others who are in Christ. Here, the union we have in Jesus that kills the division and brings peace is on astonishing display. This reconciliation is not just an idea, but a person—“Jesus is our Peace.”
In our world, where sin has wrecked our relationships and created walls of hostility everywhere we look, the gospel reveals the power of what Jesus has accomplished in reconciling us to the Father, making us one with Himself and one another. On this Pentecost Sunday, we will examine what this means for us who are in Christ to be living as a new creation, a new people, a new race, that transcends all other identities now and forever.
Invite friends and family to worship in-person with us on Sunday at 8:00 (Chapel), 9:30 or 11:00 a.m. or online at pcpc.org/live/, the PCPC App with an iOS or Android device, or YouTube.

| Act Like Men | Tuesdays 7:00 a.m. Fellowship Hall - A/BThe world is always confused about what it means to be a man, and this confusion often finds its way into the church. But the word of God brings clarity. In 1 Corinthians 16:13-14, Paul calls us to: Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. And then he adds, Let all that you do be done in love. We invite men of all ages to join us this summer as we consider what it means to “act like men” at home, at work, at church, and in the world. Register ➔ | |
