Behold the Lamb

Life with The Good Shepherd

As we come to the end of the first half of the Gospel of John, we find Jesus in another tense conversation at another feast of the Jews. The religious leaders press Jesus for answers about His identity, and He returns to the metaphor of the Shepherd and the sheep. The crowd fails to see the glorious privilege and eternal security of being His flock, but Jesus’ words offer a powerful invitation and unfailing comfort to those who are His sheep. As we approach Holy Week, Jesus is approaching His own “hour” in John. In the midst of all we’re facing, He wants His sheep to know that their Good Shepherd is none other than the Christ and the Son of God. Join us this Sunday as we consider the joy of life with the Good Shepherd.

Invite friends and family to worship in-person with us on Sunday at 8:00 (Chapel), 9:30 or 11:00 a.m. or online at pcpc.org/live/, the PCPC App with an iOS or Android device, Facebook, or YouTube.

My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of My hand.

Three identical services will be in the Sanctuary on Easter Sunday. Would you consider attending the 8:00 or 11:00 a.m. service to make room for guests at the 9:30 a.m. service? We will have Nursery and Preschool at 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. only. Elementary, Middle, and High School groups will not meet. We encourage families, even the little ones, to worship together at 8:00 a.m.

For Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday Communion Service, and Easter Sunday, you may also park in the Equinox Garage at 4222 Avondale Ave, the PCPC lot behind Oak Lawn West, and where permitted in the neighborhood. We will have officers, volunteers, and signs assisting each step of the way. Please do not park in the main Equinox parking garage or surface-level lot.
